Marin Birds | Make Your Garden Bird-Friendly
"Where have all the Marin birds gone?" lamented one of the guests at a garden party I recently attended in Kentfield, "There used to be many more years ago." I was surprised to hear this, as my own garden is teeming with a variety of birds, putting on quite the show for us each year. I decided to write this article on attracting birds to your garden here in Marin County.

Le Comptoir French Bistro Review | San Rafael | Marin Dining Scene
Le Comptoir is a new French bistro in San Rafael that opened in early April 2016. Given my love for all things French, including French food, wines and cheeses, I decided to try it and ended up returning for dinner four nights in a row! It's a great addition to the Marin dining scene and worth a visit.

Ridgewood Trail San Rafael | Hiking Marin
The Ridgewood Trail has many names and is a popular hike in Central Marin County. Also known as the Sleepy Hollow Trail, the Terra Linda / Sleepy Hollow Divide and the Ridgewood Fire Trail, this trail is an easy hike that is popular with dog owners and bicyclists. Because it runs east / west, it is a wonderful hike for mornings and afternoons especially, though it really is a great hike anytime of the day. It is seldom crowded - the above photo was taken at 10 am on a weekend morning.
