San Rafael Real Estate Spotlight:

San Rafael’s Top 10 Most Expensive Homes Sold in 2017

My Listing at 87 Brodea Way is Number 6 on The San Rafael Top 10 of 2017

2017 was a great year for sellers in Marin and we saw a lot of movement in the upper end of the market in all areas of the county. San Rafael in particular made great strides in the high end market this year. For years, I have heard other real estate agents say that homes priced greater than $2mm in San Rafael will be a “tough sell.” This past year certainly proved that this is no longer the case. In 2017, we saw 37 homes sell for more than $2 million in San Rafael with 7 homes selling in the $3M+ and above range. The top sale in San Rafael was $7,300,000 and broke an all-time record for San Rafael real estate.

Buyers are increasingly drawn to the beautiful weather in Central Marin as well as close proximity to the bustling downtown San Rafael restaurant scene, outdoor activities and easy access to all other areas of Marin County. Many of my clients and friends use the nearby Larkspur Ferry to commute into the city – still one of the best commutes in the Bay Area. Click here to read my list of 10 of the best of San Rafael.
