Marin Food Delivery & Take Out Guide

(Last Updated 4/15/2020)

Note in 2024: The pandemic is thankfully behind us so I am no longer updating this article which I published as the pandemic began. I will leave this up as a historical marker, however, in gratitude that we made it through that challenging period.

Looking for a list of restaurants offering delivery and takeout here in Marin County? Given the Corona / COVID-19 crisis, all restaurants are closed for dining in as of this writing, but many are offering takeout and some are offering delivery. These establishments are an important part of the fabric of our community, operating on small margins with high overhead. I decided to put together  this list of food delivery services currently operating in Marin County to try to help you, my friends and neighbors, as well as the restaurants who are struggling in this crisis.

I am compiling this from my own experience, monitoring the #marinfood hashtag on Twitter, and most importantly, YOUR comments at the bottom of this page. I promise to add your additions to this Marin take out / delivery directory within 24 hours of your adding a comment in the comments section below. I am hoping this will help you, my fellow neighbors, as well as our restaurants who are really struggling in this crisis.

Marin County Food Delivery Services

(in alphabetical order – please leave additions in comments section below)

Note about delivery fees: In most cases, delivery fees do not include tips for the driver, suggested at 10-20% of the order prior to delivery fee. Many of the delivery services below overlap with one another, meaning that you can find the same restaurants on multiple platforms. Fees are very difficult to find on most websites but several offer unlimited free delivery for a flat fee of $9.99 a month.

As you are deciding which service to use, check out this article in the Mill Valley Blog about which services are kinder to restaurants during this time.

Blue Apron – Meal kits delivered to your home, pricing varies

Postmates – order and delivery platform for hundreds of restaurants in Marin (overlaps with other services). I cannot find the fees on their website, but they do have an unlimited plan for $9.99 a month or $99 a year.
