Bouquets to Art at the de Young Museum in San Francisco

Bouquets to Art 2015 de Young Museum

If you love flowers and flower arrangements, the Bouquets to Art at the de Young Museum, is an annual event you won’t want to miss. Now in its 34th year, the show is billed as a “floral takeover” by the de Young, and features florists from San Francisco to Tokyo pairing their arrangements to the art on display in the museum.

This is also one of the San Francisco society events of the year, and you will see some very familiar faces at the always-sold-out luncheons held each day during the exhibit. Tickets to the “Opening Night Gala” in 2018 range from $200 to $5000. Click here for more information on this year’s exhibit slated for March 13-18, 2018.

Because the exhibition is the most-attended event at the de Young each year, crowds are at “Disneyland” levels most of the time.  If you don’t like crowds, I would suggest booking one of the VIP events instead of general admission, which ranges from $13 to $28 per person, or free for members of the de Young museum.

I plan to attend Bouquets to Art this year and hope to post some photos on my Facebook page. In the meantime, below are some photos from the Bouquets to Art in 2015.

Proximity to the restaurants and museums of San Francisco is just one of the things that make living in Marin County so special. Please call me at 415-847-5584 if I may be of assistance, and please click below to subscribe to my MarinScoop Real Estate and Lifestyle newsletter.

In March we saw the Marin County real estate market awake from its slumber, with three of the four metrics I discuss in this monthly report in the green. The median sold price jumped 10% vs the same month last year to $1.95 million, while the number of homes for sale was up 15% to 301 on the market. There is now a healthy 2.1 months of supply on the market, up 24% since March 2023.

All the metrics are (finally) starting to move in the right direction for home buyers and sellers, with both pricing and inventory inching up. Whether this is a trend or a blip remains to be seen, but I think with the most recent inflation reports people are realizing that the days of 2% mortgage interest rates are not coming back anytime soon. Call or text me anytime at 415-847-5584 to discuss how we can make the market work for you. Read my full report at:

You didn't expect to see California as the second most common state peple are moving to, did you? Don't believe everything you read. There are still many people who love living in the Golden State.

It seems that time of year has come around again when the sun aligns perfectly with California. Back when I captured this nearly a decade ago, I didn't appreciate how unusual it was to also have a cable car in the frame. Just one of those fortunate moments in life.
